Our Policies

A list of our school policies can be found below. Paper copies of all Policies are available free of charge from the school office.

Accessibility Plan
Attendance Policy
Behaviour Policy

Behaviour in school is managed by means of an assertive discipline policy which focuses on the positive aspects of the children‘s behaviour and every opportunity is taken to praise children for appropriate actions, words and attitudes. Each class will at the beginning of each year decide together on a set of class rules which are considered fair for both children and teacher. These rules are displayed in each classroom. Children are rewarded and praised for keeping the class rules and again rewards are agreed between teacher and class and displayed.

Charging and Remissions Policy

The Education Reform Act 1991 stipulates that no charge can be made for ingredients, equipment etc. needed for practical subjects. Parents who are willing to contribute in cash or in kind may do so on a voluntary basis. The School may charge for, or require the supply of, ingredients and materials if parents have indicated in advance a wish to own the finished product.

Complaints and Procedures

Section 23 of the Education Reform Act requires all Authorities to devise and operate formal procedures under which they will deal with complaints regarding the curriculum and religious worship.

Information regarding Wolverhampton procedures is available both in the Civic Centre and School. In observing the normal courtesies all queries regarding curriculum or religious worship should be made to staff or Headteacher in the first instance.

Snow and Bad Weather

Should the school be closed:

A text message will be sent directly from school. An announcement will also be made on local radio – Free, BRMB, Heart FM/Galaxy 102.2, BBC WM and The Wolf.  If there is no definite announcement by 7.30 am it can be assumed that there has not been a general closure.
